Lora Shrake - Operations Manager

Lora has fifteen years of project management experience in the United States, Middle East and the GCC region. Her background in environmental science has been applied through work in the academic, technical/consulting, and private/semi-government sectors where her focus has encompassed environmental education and outreach, natural resource conservation, environmental management and sustainable development.

Over the course of her career, she has been responsible for the management of environmental research projects and applying their findings to problem-solve local and regional water quality issues; implementing environmental outreach programs for varying audiences; overseeing environmental, social and sustainability aspects of large-scale development projects in the Middle East; and contributing to stakeholder management and corporate social responsibility programs. Lora’s enthusiasm for conserving and protecting our natural resources is ingrained in her commitment to promoting a sustainable built environment.

Aanal Patwari – Education & Events Executive

Aanal’s endeavour in the realm of sustainability cuts across several segments of academic and professional experiences. An active member of OIKOS International for Sustainable Economics & Management, Aanal has authored research thesis in domains of Ecofeminism and Women Empowerment in 2011 and in the domain of Environment Impact Assessment for Ports in 2009.  Her other works include working for APPCO as marketing executive and with ‘BTW’ magazine.

Her love for nature is evident from her works such as CEPT Clean Initiative while she was learning Environmental Planning at CEPT, India and from her eagerness to connect with people across the world and to travel to new places.

Adelita Cortenias – Executive Secretary

Adelita has developed her career enthusiastically in the field of Administration in the UAE since 1992. For nineteen years she has obtained substantial experience in many aspects of administrative functions in line with general office management, personal assistance, finance & HR related works, business operation/process, coordination, documentation as well as logistics. She has an ability to relate among various disciplines and effectively deal with local & international backgrounds. Her educational attainment in Degree of Industrial Engineering influences her character to uphold her principle to achieve excellent work efficiency.  She has also been involved and specialized in development, implementation and control of system & procedures. With matured role, she works with a high degree of responsibility, confidentiality and appropriate judgment. Her loyalty and efforts have been proven contributions to the success of the organizations she is associated with.
